Names, phone numbers, emails, and messages are used for auction and real estate communication.

Website analytics Used to improve pages

GA4 helps show which pages visitors use, without advertising or remarketing enabled.

Personal information Not sold

Personal information is not sold. Service providers may help operate the site and analytics.

Information We Collect

We collect information you choose to send us, such as your name, email address, phone number, message details, auction questions, property details, or email list signup information.

We also collect basic website activity through Google Analytics, such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, referring websites or search terms, page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, and similar site usage information.

How We Use Information

  • To respond to auction, real estate, estate sale, equipment, land, or general contact requests.
  • To maintain the email list when you ask to receive auction updates.
  • To understand how visitors use the website and improve the pages people rely on most.
  • To protect the website, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations when needed.

DH Auction iPhone App

No account is required to use DH Auction. The native app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The website analytics described below apply when you open our website in a browser.

Saved sale details, reminder choices, and cached auction feeds and images stay on your device, except that up to 200 followed or saved sale IDs are sent when you register for remote alerts. Local sale reminders are separate from remote alerts and stay on your device. Adding an event to Calendar, opening Maps, or sharing a sale uses a system handoff you initiate.

If you enable remote alerts, the app sends its Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token and environment, app version and build, new-auction announcement setting, category choices, sale-update alert setting, up to 200 followed or saved sale IDs, and time zone. We store this information under the device token, which links your settings and saved sale IDs to your app installation. We use these choices to personalize and deliver the alerts you select, including announcements promoting our auctions. New-auction announcements are off by default and are sent only if you explicitly turn them on in the Alerts tab. Apple's push notification service delivers the alerts. We do not use this information for tracking, sell it, or share it with advertisers.

We keep registration and delivery timestamps, delivery status, retry counts, and short error codes to operate and troubleshoot remote alerts. We separately keep a salted hash of your network address, request counts, and rate-limit window expiry for security rate limits. Hashing does not make this information anonymous.

Turning remote alerts off in the app requests removal of the registration and its associated delivery records. Removal happens when the request successfully reaches our server; being offline or a failed request can delay it. This is separate from local reminders. We also remove registrations when Apple reports an invalid token or during daily cleanup after 180 days without a check-in. Deleting the app does not immediately notify our server.

Google Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic and understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies, including the _ga cookie, to distinguish one visitor from another and report site usage statistics.

We do not currently use Google Analytics for advertising, remarketing, or personalized ad targeting. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, and Google also offers the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the website, provide analytics, host website files, deliver email list services, or respond to legitimate legal requests.

Retention and Choices

We keep contact and email list information only as long as reasonably needed for auction business, communication, recordkeeping, or legal purposes. You can ask to update or remove your contact information from our email list by contacting us.
